How we handle your data
This notice explains how Raise & Runway handles personal data when you visit our website or sign up to our events and community.
Who we are
Raise & Runway is a community for founders, lenders and advisors in the growth credit market, organised by SuLe and Mountside Ventures. SuLe is the data controller for the community list and event sign-ups. Contact: hello@raiseandrunway.com.
What we collect
- Event sign-ups. When you register for an event via our Luma page, we receive your name, email address, and any optional information you provide (e.g. company, role, dietary requirements). Luma acts as our event-management processor.
- Community list. If you opt in during sign-up, we add your name and email to the Raise & Runway community list to send you updates about future events and educational content.
- Direct contact. If you email us, we keep that correspondence and the contact details you provide.
- Website analytics. Aggregated, anonymised data about page visits via Netlify's basic analytics. No tracking cookies are set by us directly. The Luma embed on our sign-up page may set its own cookies — see Luma's privacy policy for details.
Why we use it
- To register you for events and communicate event details
- To send you community updates if you've opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To improve our website and events
- To respond to direct enquiries
Our lawful bases are legitimate interest (running the community) and consent (marketing emails — opt-in only).
How long we keep it
- Event sign-up data: 24 months after the event, or until you ask us to delete it
- Community list: until you unsubscribe
- Email correspondence: 3 years
Sharing
We don't sell your data. We share limited data with:
- Luma — event registration and ticketing
- Netlify — website hosting
- Our email forwarding provider — to deliver emails sent to hello@raiseandrunway.com
- Our event partners (HSBC Innovation Banking, CMS, Mishcon de Reya, Mountside Ventures) — only summary attendee data (e.g. headcount), never your personal details unless you've separately opted into a partner spin-off event
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your data, and the right to data portability. Email us at hello@raiseandrunway.com to make any of these requests. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Updates
If we materially change this notice we'll update the date above and notify the community list.
